Not at all. You don’t need any art skills or experience to participate in art therapy. The focus is on the process of creating, not the finished artwork. Art therapy is about expression, exploration, and meaning — not talent or technique.

There’s no special preparation required. Simply come as you are. If it helps, you might like to reflect on what brought you to art therapy or what you’d like support with, but this isn’t necessary — your therapist will guide the process.

Individual sessions: 50 minutes
Group sessions: 90 - 120 minutes
This allows time for both art-making and reflection in a supported way.

Weekly or fortnightly sessions are generally recommended to support consistency and therapeutic progress. Your therapist can work with you to decide what feels most appropriate for your needs and circumstances.

Availability depends on the practitioner. Some therapists offer evening or weekend appointments. Please get in touch to discuss current availability.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a 50% fee.
No-shows are charged at the full session fee.

Your artwork belongs to you. It can be stored securely at the studio or taken home, depending on your preference and the nature of the work. This can be discussed with your therapist, and your comfort and confidentiality are always prioritised.
